L’Etoile Centro Studi Danza, via Ponte Vecchio, Urbania, (PU) Italia, provides spacious dance studios with stunning views of the town. The beautiful Teatro Bramante where the DMC company perform is situated in a 19th-century palazzo in the historic town centre.

What is there to do in Urbania?
A lot is the short answer! Urbania is a beautiful town with a well-preserved historic centre, it has many lovely restaurants and bars and a jewel of a small theatre. Places to check out include the Ducal Palace, Chiesa Dei Morti (with a whole bunch of mummies!) and, just outside, the Barco Ducale. Around are some pretty villages including Peglio perched on a hilltop where you get wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. And a swimming pool.
Just 15 kilometres away is the magnificent walled town of Urbino, a UNESCO World Heritage Centre. This is a landmark town of the Italian Renaissance. You must see the Palazzo Ducale built by the Duc of Montefeltro, one of the great Renaissance figures. The studiolo is a truly remarkable room, and there are some of the finest paintings by Raphael and Piero della Francesca.
It’s the birthplace of Raphael and you can go visit his house.
There are many good restaurants and bars too and great views, and it’s not overflowing with tourists.
About 35 kilometres away on the coast is Pesaro a UNESCO Creative City of Music, it’s the native town of Rossini the famous opera composer. There are lots of concerts and other events going on, great shopping and places to eat and you can flop down on the beach hanging on to a glass of something nice.
There’s more, including the Caves of Frasassi, you can get the whole of Milan Cathedral in there, did you know that?
It is a wonderful place to visit.
Flights
Please make sure that all travel documentation, insurance, visa, and inoculations (if necessary) are all in order and updated for the whole period of attendance on the program. When making your travel reservations please pay particular attention to flight arrival and departure times. We ask you to take into consideration travel distances, check-in times and allow yourself enough time for connections between the main airports, rail and bus termini to and from Urbania.
Closest airports are Rimini (aeroporto F.Fellini), Perugia (aeroporto internazionale dell’Umbria), Ancona (Aeroporto delle Marche, Falconara), Bologna (Aeroporto G. Marconi) Roma(Ciampino and Fiumicino).
Long haul flights go to Rome’s “Leonardo da Vinci” (Fiumicino) and Milan’s (Malpensa).
Transfers & Car rental
From Rome: coach URBINO-ROMA.
Take the coach from Roma Tiburtina station (timetables on the website:– www.adriabus.eu) to Acqualagna.
Direct trains to FOSSATO DI VICO-GUBBIO are also a way to get to Urbania (www.trenitalia.com).
From Rimini, Ancona, Bologna: direct trains to Fano or Pesaro.
From all these places DMC’s management is happy to set up taxis to reach Urbania.
When possible taxis will be organized in small groups (up to 5 persons, mini bus up to 8 persons) taking into account dates, destinations and times of arrival of DMC’s participants.
Coaches are also available from Fano (bus 25) or Pesaro (bus 46) : passengers must change bus in Urbino (last stop SANTA LUCIA bus station) and then take bus 15, direction Urbino-Fermignano-Urbania (detailed timetables at www.adriabus.eu).
By Car: The route to Urbania from Northern Europe is to take the A14 motorway south from Bologna. Leave the A14 at the Pesaro/Urbino exit and follow the signs for Urbino, turn right direction Arezzo then you’ll reach Urbania.
