For Dance Master Class in Italy 2010 we have scheduled our weeks for arrival and departure on Thursdays. In past years weekend travel has proven to be generally more expensive. Accommodation will have to be vacated by 10:00. Classes may be attended up until your departure time on a Thursday.

08:30-17:00: Daily Technique Class, movement classes and Italian/English Language Classes.

18:00-20:30: Choreographic workshops and rehearsals, Repertoire, Pointe, variations etc. and movement classes.

Dance Classes
Weekdays including Saturday classes in contemporary, jazz, ballet, Pointe, repertoire, variations, partnering and virtuosity

Italian/English Language Classes
(Monday-Friday).
These classes are conducted in small groups. The students are arranged into linguistic levels staring from complete beginner. Our teachers are practiced in modern methods of teaching Italian/English as a foreign language.

Choreographic workshops and rehearsals These are preparations for the dance recitals and the showcase finale at the Teatro Bramante.

A working time table will be posted up on the first day of the course.

Below is an example of a typical day, which gives some idea of how you may spend your time with us.

08:30-09:45: classical dance class

09:45-10:45: virtuosity /Pointe/variations/ repertoire

11:00-12:15: contemporary /jazz

12:30-13:30: jazz/contemporary

Lunch

15:00-17:00: language classes

18:00-20:30: we work on choreography, repertoire, Pointe, variations and pieces which may be included in recitals and the end of course performance. This intensifies in the weeks leading up to the end of course performance and language classes are not be given in the last 4 days as we re-schedule for more rehearsals and work on stage in the Theatre.

Notable dates:

Arrival: 1^st July

Main Induction: 2^nd July

End of course performance: 12 August

Provisional recital dates: 14, 21 and 28 July

Urbania holiday: 25 July (Celebration of St Cristoforo patron saint of Urbania)

National Holiday: 15 August
