Josephine Holling ARAD
Josephine trained at White Lodge and the Royal Ballet Upper School. She graduated into the Royal Ballet Company at the age of 17.
Whilst with the company she performed all the major classical ballets both in the UK and on international tours. The range of repertoire that she performed extended to include works such as Grosse Fugue and Septet Extra by Hans Van Manen to Balanchine’s Allegro Brilliante.
Following her performing career, Josephine retrained to become an examiner for the Royal Academy of Dance and commenced teaching extensively.
In 1990 she was engaged as Artist-In-Education for Birmingham Royal Ballet as well as ballet mistress to the Junior and Senior Associates of the Royal Ballet School in Birmingham. Josephine held the post of Dance Director for the Dance School of Scotland before joining the teaching staff at English National Ballet School and Millennium Dance 2000.
Josephine is often sought after to teach worldwide, and her most recent engagements have been in Italy and Japan.
